Mr. Kramer
Hello! Welcome to 5th grade room 201. My name is Andy Kramer. I am so excited to be a part of Greenbriar Elementary. I can't wait to get started working with your children. 5th grade will be a successful year with our partnership supporting your child's growth. I enjoy working with such inspiring educators and amazing families. My goal for students is to help them become lifelong learners. I am passionate about education and look forward to getting students excited about learning.

I am originally from Edina, Minnesota. I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, with a degree in Elementary Education. Recently I received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Preparation from Concordia University.

This will be my 10th year teaching. I spent five months in New Zealand completing my student teaching.  While in New Zealand, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in their culture and successful educational framework. During this time, I skydived, bungee jumped, canyon swung, and jumped off the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. After New Zealand, I moved to Boyton Beach, Florida where I taught for five years in 5th grade. While in Florida I met my wife Katie. We then move to Chicago in 2012. I then spent four years teaching 3rd grade at Disney II Magnet School in Old Irving Park, Chicago. Disney II helped shape the teacher I have become today.

Today I live in Lake Zurich with my wife, five month old daughter Sadie, and our two year old English Bulldog Ollie. When I am not spending time with my family I enjoy playing hockey, building furniture, watching movies, walking, and reading Stephen King books.
